This is the Place!

Jennifer and I took our kids to This is the Place Historical Park today. I did not realize how big this place is. The kids were on their best behavior, which was good because it was a long day. Over the weekend I hurt my hips so I have been relying on a cane and Hydrocodone to get me around. So, Carson being the comedian that he is would take the cane away from me. Everyone thought this was funny, everyone but me! The last picture is of Logan and a "fox" (ox). He was so proud of himself for finding the ever elusive and rare "fox".

Hoover Lake

Camping was great this weekend. John packed up the ATV trailer and we headed out to find a camping spot we didn't have to share, and we did. We had an entire lake to ourselves! The kids tried to fish but the fish had other plans. Notice Carson, the inventor of "cup crocks".

Declaration of Independence

One of the 25 surviving original "Dunlap copies" of the Declaration of Independence is on tour! One stop on the tour is SLC. The kids thought it was great to see this important document that changed the future of this wonderful land!

Our Little Cabin in the Woods!

Dad, you wanted me to post some pictures so you can see what your getting into when you and Ryan come to visit. We still have some exterior work to do on the basement level but besides that the exterior is done. The flowers that I started from seed are starting to come up but it still looks like a pile of weeds. In a few weeks we should have a flower explosion on our hands. I can't wait to have fresh cut flowers in the house! You can see we built up the back yard so the kids can have a place to play.

Summit County Fair

After the family reunion we stoped by the Summit County Fair. The kids had a blast. We would have stayed for the rodeo but it started to rain.

Family, games, lamb stew and homemade root beer. Life doesn't get much better! Take a look at the second picture, I don't even think they even look the same age. We should probably start Carson on a high protein diet. The last picture of Fallon is soooo cute! She really got the hang of that lasso.

Silly Fallon and Alli

Alli is one of Fallons' best friends. We are lucky enough that she lives only a few houses away. Alli had been wisiting family out of state for several weeks and I had forgotten how much fun it is to have Alli in our home. Even Sam (the dog) gets into the action.
